rasha, the human being.
My childhood included growing up fast and hard. For as long as I can remember I was applauded for my strength before I finally learned most of it was just a protective mechanism driven by my fear of feeling.
I was first introduced to this foreign world of feelings by my soul sister in an aha moment that hit me like a bus and created a ripple effect in my life. The realization was born as a result of her loving interruptions reminding me of the question I continuously failed to comprehend, “Rasha, I’m asking you how you felt, not what happened…”. And just like that, my life was really never the same again.
After understanding and accepting that I’ve been living in my head as a hideout from my heart, the floodgates of every feeling I have ever suppressed surfaced fast and hard too, and I was finally reintroduced to my authentic self through the beautiful, ever-changing, and ever-lasting journey of healing and self-development.
rasha, the coach.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communication, and before meeting my soul’s mission, I struggled professionally. Most internship options bored me, advertising for some companies conflicted with my values, and the jobs I took either didn’t light me up enough or dimmed the light in me. I was either craving direct impact in an NGO that couldn’t be reached from behind a desk, or I was climbing a bank’s corporate ladder that I couldn’t even see in an effort to learn. I did that for 5+ years until I lost touch with the greatest teacher of all, myself.
I eventually re-learned that my values come first, that I can make a direct impact myself, and that corporate clearly isn’t for me. I finally turned my passion for serving others into my profession, free from control and conditions, where I could touch lives with my bare hands daily — cue coaching.
I became a full-time Professional Coach and resigned from anything and everything in my life that didn’t feed me.
I started my coaching career as a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach from The Institute for Integrative Nutrition before becoming a Feminine Embodiment Coach and a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC), eventually earning the credential of Professional Certified Coach (PCC) from the International Coaching Federation (ICF). Over the years, between training and coaching experience, I’ve immersed myself as a passionate student and client in modalities such as somatics, spiritual psychology, energy healing, and conscious movement.
Okay, well that’s me on an “about” page!
With humongous love,
